Multi-purpose Electrochemical Reactor for energy and environmental applications

 

The main objective of this project is to design a multi-purpose electrochemical reactor, with such a configuration that it can be easily adapted to different kind of applications. Among other applications we have identified flux batteries for electric energy storage and capacitive deionization for sewage treatment with high saline contents. The project also includes the design of the reactor’s hydraulic, electrical and control auxiliary systems, which allow its correct operation in the different applications.

 

Reference research project: IPT-440000-2010-012, corresponding to the INNPACTO subprogram, coordinated by the company PROINGESA, within the instrumental line of the System’s Articulation and Internationalization in the setting of the National Plan of Scientific Research, Development and Technological Innovation 2008-2011.
