New manufacturing processes by 3D printing
- Published on Monday, 16 February 2015 12:05
The main objective of this project is to carry out new 3D printing technologies in construction on real scale, along with new ranges of materials and new design tools, allowing to automate the numerous processes which take part in buildings construction and restoration.
The objectives of this project consist in carrying out new 3D printing systems for buildings restoration by direct printing on vertical elements, such as existing facades (which represents a real innovative and unprecedented challenge), and the production of selected prefabricated elements (without the need of moulds or frameworks). These printing systems will work with new ranges of materials for indoors and outdoors made of cement, lime, plaster and mixed mixtures, specially developed for its application by extrusion.
